AGM & CFIB Partnership
Last month, BCPHA held its Annual General Meeting, and one topic stood out, advocacy, and how we can do more of it together.

BCPHA has been actively involved in shaping the issues that matter to our industry. That includes building code changes in Vancouver, the conversation around natural gas usage, a petition on at home sales, and other decisions that affect how trades contractors operate across the province. We are at the table on these fronts, and we plan to stay there.
That is part of why we are excited to share a new partnership with the Canadian Federation of Independent Business, known as CFIB. Every BCPHA member is now automatically included with a basic CFIB membership at no extra cost. CFIB is the largest small business advocacy group in the country, representing over 100,000 businesses, and they work government at every level on behalf of business owners.
This partnership is not just about savings, though members will see plenty of those on things like banking, insurance, and payment processing. It is about aligning forces with an organization that already has a strong seat at the table, so our voice carries even further. Together, we are raising the bar on business and education standards for our industry, across BC and across Canada.
Thanks to everyone who came out to the AGM. If you were not able to make it, reach out and we will get you up to speed.
