Rinnai Curling Event

Rinnai Curling

Last month, BCPHA hit the ice with Rinnai for a curling social. None of us do this for a living, and it showed.

Some people picked up curling fast. Others were still finding their footing by the end. Either way, nobody cared much about the score. Members cheered each other on, celebrated the good shots, and laughed off the bad ones. There was plenty of trash talk and even more laughing, the kind of afternoon where the actual game becomes secondary pretty quickly.

Rinnai's team played right alongside everyone else. It felt less like a sponsor stopping by and more like one more group there to have a good time with the rest of us.

A huge thank you goes out to the volunteers who helped put the day together. Events like this do not happen without people willing to give up their time, and it showed in how smoothly everything ran, from getting everyone set up to keeping the energy going all afternoon.

At the end of the day, the curling was really just the reason to get everyone in one place. The best part was watching people who usually only see each other on a jobsite spend an afternoon just hanging out, no shop talk required.

Thanks to Rinnai for putting this on, and thanks again to the volunteers who made it happen. Keep an eye out for the next BCPHA social. It is a great way to spend time with people in the industry outside of work.
